1. Set up your site

Open spreadjam.com/start and sign in or create an account. Setup asks a few questions, each on its own page:
1

What site should Jam track?

Enter your website, for example acme.com.
2

How should Jam describe you?

Jam drafts a description of your company from your site. Edit anything that is off: this is how Jam talks about you.
3

Who buys from you, and who do you compete with?

Your audiences and competitors. Jam uses them to write prompts and to rank you against the right brands.
4

Which questions should Jam watch?

The prompts: questions buyers ask AI assistants when they look for something like you. Edit, add or remove any. See Prompts.
5

Choose your plan

Pick a prompt capacity, a scan cadence, the platforms and your work credits. A new account gets a 14-day free trial; checkout asks for a card. See Plans and credits.

2. Read your first results

The first scan starts when your plan is active. It asks every prompt on every platform, so it takes a few minutes; the numbers fill in as answers arrive. You then see:
  • Visibility: how often AI assistants mention and recommend you, against your competitors.
  • Answers: the full text of every AI answer, with the brands it named and the URLs it cited.
  • Sources: which sites the assistants cite. Your own site is marked.
See Scans and answers.

3. Work the Plan

When the first scan finishes, Jam runs its first research (free) and writes the Plan. Jam also drafts up to three of the top new pages by itself, once, from your plan’s credits. Each action on the Plan has two buttons: Send to Jam has Jam do it, and Copy prompt hands it to your own agent. See Doing the work.

4. Choose how pages reach your site

The Plan asks once: Use Markdown (you get each article as a file to publish yourself) or Connect GitHub (Jam opens a pull request on your site’s repository). You can change it later in Settings. See Delivery.
