Connect a repository
1
Connect GitHub
On the Plan, choose Connect GitHub, or open Settings and the delivery methods. Jam asks you to install its GitHub App on the account or organisation that owns your site’s repository.
2
Choose where articles go
Jam checks the repository, branch and folder, and detects how your existing articles are written, so new ones match.
3
Check the connection
The delivery method shows Connected when the last check was fine. Use Check connection after changing access on GitHub.
Ship a page
When a draft is ready, Make PR opens a pull request with the page on your base branch. Over the API,publish_content publishes the current revision to the destination now ({"when": "now"}) or at a time ({"publishAt": "2026-12-01T09:00:00Z"}). It also retries a failed attempt.
list_content_deliveries lists each attempt with its state and prUrl. Merging the pull request is up to you; the page goes live when your site deploys.
Ship a change
Apage_edit or technical action gets a prepared code change. Preview it on the action’s page, then Make PR, or create_site_change_pull_request over the API. It holds 20 credits, kept only if the pull request opens, and the change moves to in_review with its prUrl.
Publish on a schedule
A destination can publish drafted content by itself:update_destination with autoPublish: true and a cadence of daily or weekly. Turning it on for one destination turns it off for the project’s others.
Withdraw
Cancelling publishing on an item that has an open pull request also withdraws it there. Over the API that iscancel_content_publishing with withdraw=true; without it, the call answers 409 so nothing is withdrawn by accident.
Set it up from the API
The GitHub App itself is installed from the dashboard.
