# The Plan

> The Plan is the ranked list of actions that should raise your AI visibility: pages to write or fix, technical changes, sources to earn and people to pitch.

Research writes the Plan. Each action says what to do, why (the evidence from the answers and sources), which tracked prompts it should move and which page it targets.

## Kinds of action

| Kind | What it is | Who can do it |
| - | - | - |
| `new_page` | A page to publish, such as a comparison or a guide. | Jam drafts it, or your agent writes it. |
| `page_edit` | A change to a page already on your site. | Jam prepares the code change, or your agent makes it. |
| `technical` | A technical fix on your site. | Jam prepares the code change, or your agent makes it. |
| `outreach` | Pitch a third-party list or page. | Your agent or you, from `agentPrompt`. A Send to Jam run can draft it. |
| `community` | Take part in a community thread. | Your agent or you. A Send to Jam run can draft it. |

## Status

| Status | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `suggested` | On the Plan, not started. |
| `in_progress` | Someone started it. |
| `sent` | Outreach went out; waiting on the third party. |
| `done` | Reported done. |
| `verified` / `unverified` | Jam checked whether it took effect. |
| `dismissed` | Taken off the Plan. |
| `superseded` | Research no longer proposes it. Hidden from the list by default. |

Transitions are safe to repeat: starting a started action, or dismissing a dismissed one, changes nothing. To take a started action off the Plan, dismiss it; restoring it puts it back as `suggested`.

## Read it from your agent

* `list_actions`: the Plan, best first, with `countsByStatus` covering every page.
* `get_action`: everything for one action, including `agentPrompt`, the instructions for your agent.

Actions and opportunities are two lists over one Plan. Opportunities (`list_opportunities`) are the article pipeline behind `new_page` actions: when Jam drafts one, the action carries its `opportunityId`. Work from actions; read an opportunity only to write the article yourself from its brief.
